Developing a community heritage project proposal
The Heritage Skills Training course aims to encourage and equip Brent voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises to apply for funding from the CVS Brent’s We Wear Heritage project or the National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop and deliver their own heritage projects
About the training
This online workshop will include the elements of what is involved in designing a community heritage project, including:
· what is heritage;
· how to identify the need for a heritage project;
· the different types of activities a project can deliver;
· heritage outputs.
It will help you understand the key components when writing a funding bid for a heritage project, including the National Lottery Heritage fund’s priority outcomes and Brent CVS’s heritage grants programme (We Wear Heritage).
Who should attend
This session is suitable for any trustee, staff member or volunteer in the Brent borough who is responsible for planning and managing projects or who is thinking of developing a heritage project.
CVS Brent is leading on a heritage project called We Wear Heritage, which as a community grants programmes. Any Brent organisation wishing to apply for a grant will need to attend this heritage skills training course to be eligible to apply for a heritage grant.
This training course will also equip organisations interested in applying directly to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for a grant to develop and deliver a heritage project.
Eastside Community Heritage (ECH) has been delivering community projects and training for over twenty-five years. We have expertise in delivering cultural heritage projects and training and specialise in oral history. Our oral history, Hidden-History archive, contains over four thousand oral history interviews and about 40 thousand photos, which are accessible to all.
We are an accredited training centre and offer a RQF level 3 qualification in cultural heritage (which includes community project delivery and management).
