Introduction to Public Sector Tendering

Bidding for contracts is a new area of work for many small- and medium-sized VCSE organisations. The process appears intimidating and in this course we will explain what’s involved and unpack some of the terms used.

You will learn about what the public sector is and what services they buy. We will cover the procurement procedures and tendering stages using Brent Council as an example so that you will become familiar with the public procurement process. By the end of the course we want you to understand how you can get started in public sector tendering for your organisation.
