We Wear Heritage Project Launch

The We Wear Heritage project will be supporting Brent organisations to develop and deliver their own local heritage projects focused on the heritage of traditional clothes and attire. Some activities will include: young creatives acquiring heritage skills, volunteers helping deliver events, capacity building organisations with an interest in heritage, interviewing elders, Bring & Share heritage events to build up Brent’s Museum archives.

There are many ways in which communities can take part in this project, from volunteers to heritage up-skilling to securing a grant to deliver your own heritage project locally. We can all learn about the fantastic traditional attire of Brent’s diverse communities.

“Support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund ensures grassroots organisations have access to heritage expertise, learning and other resources that are available to larger heritage organisations. We are pleased that that National Lottery Heritage Fund has backed our project, opening up the heritage sector to smaller organisations.”
