SUMMARY:Brent Holocaust Memorial Day 2025
DESCRIPTION:Brent Council will be commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day on January 23rd at Wembley Stadium.\n\n\nDoors open for the event at 18:00\, with the event commencing at 18.30.  \nThe theme for this year’s event is ‘for a better future’ and will include testimony from Dr Agnes Kaposi\, music from the London Cantorial Singers and Jewish Free School\, as well as time for reflection.  \n \nBelow are maps containing information on how to get to the venue at Wembley Stadium. \n \nAttendees will have to go up the Olympic steps to get to the Bobby Moore entrance\, people with accessibility requirements can take a lift on the lower ground floor in main reception. Once inside of the venue\, there’ll be staff to point guests in the right direction.

DESCRIPTION:Let’s come together at the Disability Forum to discuss challenges\, share experiences\, and find solutions – see you there!\n\n\nThe Disability Forum meeting will take place on Wednesday 23rd of October at Brent Civic Centre\, Level 3\, boardrooms 4-5. \nHR will discuss Brent’s status as a Disability Confident Borough and what this means. The Employment & Skills team will provide insight into the work undertaken to help our disabled residents obtain employment and will discuss the opportunities which are available. Before the break\, we will hear from Libraries\, who will discuss outreach into people’s homes and other library services. \nBrent Hubs will deliver a presentation on the various services and support available to disabled people  and provide guidance on how to make the most of the available resources. The final agenda item will be presented by the ASC team\, who will discuss the importance of prevention through the Adult Social Care Prevention Strategy. \nThere will be an opportunity for questions and answers. \nThere will be a BSL interpreter and a comfort break to accommodate the needs of the participants. \nWe do hope to see as many of you there as possible.
