International Day of Disabled People
Join us for an impactful celebration of the International Day of Disabled People 2024 at Brent Civic Centre on Tuesday, 3 December, from 17:00 to 19:00 GMT. Our theme this year is, Non-visible Disabilities, highlights the importance of fostering understanding and empathy for conditions that are often overlooked, leading to stigma and limited support. By raising awareness, we promote a more inclusive society where everyone is respected, valued, and empowered to participate fully.
Through inspiring stories, interactive discussions, and engaging activities, we’ll explore the diverse experiences of people with both visible and non-visible disabilities and the vital role we all play in creating an inclusive community. Our respected speakers will share unique challenges, triumphs, and perspectives, encouraging reflection, empathy, and positive action.
This event offers the public a meaningful opportunity to deepen understanding, connect with others, and advocate for change. Join us in this journey toward a truly inclusive and equitable community.
