Established in 1982, the WISE Social Care & Education Project has been a cornerstone of support within the Brent community. Initially founded as a Saturday school, WISE addressed the educational needs of young people from Caribbean immigrant families. In the 90s, the charity expanded its mission to honour and assist the Windrush generation—Caribbean immigrants who arrived in the UK between 1948 and 1971 and played a crucial role in rebuilding post-war Britain. Today, WISE extends its services beyond this group, offering support to all elderly residents within Brent and its neighbouring regions.
Patina People is a growing community of older adults. Its programme offers a wide range of accessible, inclusive and interest led activities, courses, social events and celebrations exclusively for those aged 55+.Â
Crowning Greatness educate youth aged 11-15 on how to become young people that can respect others, be respected, and enrich society. Empowering them with entrepreneurial, leadership, and confidence-building skills. Giving them the accountability and the ownership to develop and grow into inspiring role models, working on their individual core and as part of a team. We also provide entertainment for the youth in the community to create positive social interaction in new environments.
