Disability Forum

The Disability Forum meeting will take place on Thursday 12th September at Brent Civic Centre, Level 3, boardrooms 4-5.

HR will discuss Brent’s status as a Disability Confident Borough and what this means. The Employment & Skills team will provide insight into the work undertaken to help our disabled residents obtain employment and will discuss the opportunities which are available. Before the break, we will hear from Libraries, who will discuss outreach into people’s homes and other library services.

Brent Hubs will deliver a presentation on the various services and support available to residents with disabilities and provide guidance on how to make the most of the available resources. The final agenda item will be presented by the ASC team, who will discuss the importance of prevention through the Adult Social Care Prevention Strategy.

There will be an opportunity for questions and answers.

There will be a BSL interpreter and a comfort break to accommodate the needs of the participants.
