Unknown Soldier

Join us for a performance live performance of an extract of the Unknown Soldier at the Library at Willesden Green revealing the hidden histories of black British servicemen and women who fought for Britain during the First and Second World Wars.

Alison Ray Dance Company presents an extract of the Unknown Soldier production followed by Post Show talk, and book signing. The event explores the personal stories of the brave men and women of the Caribbean, Africa, and The UK who were part of Britain’s successful war effort.

Told through a variety of dance styles including Lindy Hop, African, Caribbean, and contemporary dance, this emotive dance theatre show weaves together visuals and live music to bring the narrative to life, offering a compelling tribute to Black British War Veterans.
