Shape the future of council support for Brent’s third sector

The VCSE in Brent is incredibly vibrant, diverse, and dynamic. Providing support, voice, leadership, services and in many ways, the glue and vital safety nets that knit communities together.

Brent Council, together with partners, is fully committed to working in partnership in ways that further amplifies, enables and celebrates the contribution and impact of the sector – to achieve the very best outcomes for Brent

Our collective mission is to help everyone here live their best lives. A thriving, resourceful and sustainable VCSE is vital to achieving this.

On the 30th of September 2025, the cross-sector Steering Group will be arranging an event at Brent Civic Centre where all will be invited

This workshop is a chance for you to influence how together we can best support the VCSE sector. It will focus on:

· Identifying the sector’s needs across key themes (e.g. funding, capacity, collaboration, etc.) to directly inform a new support offer

· Introducing a new matchmaking platform to connect local projects with potential support and resources

· Shaping a shared vision for how the council and VCSE sector can work together more effectively

CVS Brent will also be introducing their new trustees to the sector as well as sharing the impact they already deliver in Brent and how they can further support the voluntary sector through CVS Brent.

Join us for discussions around new and upcoming funding, a chance to share your views and make invaluable connections with voluntary sector organisations.

CVS Brent will be collaborating with Brent Giving for this event. Brent Giving empowers local residents to decide how money is spent in their communities by awarding grants to individuals, grassroots community organisations and small charities. This resident-led approach ensures funding addresses real issues faced by those with lived experience. It’s about collaboration and building a stronger, fairer Brent together.
